Ordering
How long does an order take?
Anything in stock ships within three working days. Made-to-order pieces take one to three weeks depending on the item and the wood — the product page gives a figure, and we confirm it by phone before starting.
Can you make something that is not in the catalogue?
Usually. Send dimensions, a sketch or a reference photograph through the contact page and we will tell you whether it is sensible and what it would cost.
Do you ship outside Egypt?
Not through the website yet. We have sent pieces to the Gulf and to Europe by arrangement — contact us with the destination and we will quote the carrier cost.
Living with the piece
Can I put these in the dishwasher?
No. Not one of them. A dishwasher combines heat, prolonged soaking and harsh detergent, which is precisely the combination that splits wood and strips oil. Warm water, mild soap, dry immediately.
How do I look after the finish?
Rub in food-safe mineral oil once or twice a year, or whenever the surface starts looking dry and pale. Wipe on, leave twenty minutes, buff off. That is the entire maintenance routine.
The grain looks different from the photograph.
It will. Every piece is cut from a different part of a different plank. The photograph shows one example, not the specific piece you receive — that is what distinguishes real wood from printed laminate.
Returns and sourcing
Can I return an engraved piece?
Only if it arrives faulty. An engraved piece cannot be resold, so we cannot take it back for a change of mind. Everything else has fourteen days.
Is the wood sustainably sourced?
Our beech, oak and walnut come from certified European and North American suppliers. Teak, mahogany and wenge are harder to trace honestly, so we buy from importers who provide documentation and keep the quantities small.
